GOOD TO KNOW

Questions, answered.

Is this a real vector conversion?

Trace mode creates colored vector paths. It works best for logos, icons and flat artwork, and can simplify photographs. Preserve mode embeds a lossless PNG inside an SVG container: it preserves the image, but its pixels do not become editable vector paths.

Will an SVG improve a photograph?

No. An embedded photograph remains a raster image. Tracing changes it into simplified shapes; compare the result before saving.

Which images work?

Browser-decodable JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF and AVIF work locally. TIFF and ICO can also be converted into a safe SVG container with the server file converter.

Are there external resources or scripts?

Generated SVGs contain only generated paths or an embedded PNG, and TypeShift processing metadata. Original SVG scripts are not imported.

Your file. Your next step.

Choosing a tool transfers your file locally. Server conversion or public sharing uploads only when you start that action. Opening another tool leaves this page; save any existing edits first.
